Tactics are forcing short calculations that win material or mate. Strategy is the long plan: which weakness to target and which structure to keep.
If you crush puzzles but get lost in long games, you lack strategy. If you have ideas but hang pieces, you lack tactics.
Train both: puzzles every day and two slow games a week with a pawn-structure review. Neither replaces the other.
