Chess strategy training
Chess strategy: weak squares, pawn structure, space, exchanges, and converting positional edges.
Strategy is the long-term map: where to create weaknesses, which pawns to fix, which pieces to trade. When no tactic is hanging, strategy decides.
Practical principles: occupy weak squares, keep the king safe, control the center, and avoid trading good pieces for bad ones.
Pawn structure is the skeleton. Isolated, doubled, and backward pawns each ask for a plan. Intermediate GChess courses focus on those plans.
After study, review your own games. One repeating weakness is worth more than ten unread chapters.
