Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian grandmaster and was world champion for years. After giving up the title he has still usually sat at or near the top of the world ranking with the highest FIDE rating.

His style is long pressure, endgame technique, and converting tiny positional edges. The amateur lesson is less flashy mate-hunting and more precise conversion.

Watch his games on live broadcasts and reports, then drill the same structures in the library and analysis. His rating is the classical ceiling of this generation.

If you are new, finish beginner chess first. Copying his openings without basic tactics does not work.
